How Mathspresso handles website traffic, support contact, and local study data.

This page describes the privacy posture for the Mathspresso website and for the local-first Integrated Math study app currently in development.

2. Overview

Mathspresso is an independent study product for California Integrated Math I, II, and III. The website is the public-facing companion. The iPhone and iPad app is being built as a local-first study coach.

The core posture is simple: no required account, no school reporting, no ad-tech stack, and no personal student identity collection through the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

The app is being designed to store study state locally on your device. That local state may include:

  • selected course scope
  • progress by objective and topic
  • mastery and review scheduling state
  • daily plan settings and study preferences
  • local reminder choices
  • scratchpad or resume state needed to continue work later
  • PDF export settings and generated local artifacts

4. Information The App Is Not Designed To Collect

  • name
  • email address
  • school or district identity
  • teacher identity
  • parent identity
  • phone number
  • birthdate
  • third-party advertising identifiers
  • remote app-usage analytics tied to a student identity

5. Permissions We Expect To Request

  • Notifications: used only if you choose local study reminders.

If later app versions add a permission-dependent feature, this policy will be updated before that change is shipped broadly.

6. Network Requests and Remote Services

The current website uses standard HTTPS delivery. The site does not use third-party advertising trackers. The landing page is intended to remain lightweight and low-surveillance.

The app is being designed so core study behavior can work without accounts, cloud sync, or remote usage analytics. If a future version introduces a hosted service that affects user data, this page will be updated to describe it clearly.

7. Website Logs and Basic Operations

Like most websites, the server may retain ordinary operational logs such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, and response status for security, uptime, and debugging purposes.

These logs are used for operating the site, not for behavioral advertising.

8. Support Email

If you contact Mathspresso by email, we receive the information you send, including your email address and message contents. We use that information to respond to your question or issue.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be processed by the ordinary infrastructure involved in hosting the website and delivering email, but not for third-party advertising.

10. Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset it in the app, or uninstall the app.

Website operational logs and support correspondence may be retained for reasonable operational, security, and support purposes.

11. Children's Privacy

Mathspresso is an educational product, but it is not being built around account creation for children. We do not knowingly operate a student-profile system through the app.

12. Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as the website and app mature. When we do, the last-updated date at the top of this page will change.
